Week 1-3 (Probably)

As The Sun Dies is a first-person narrative environment about heartbreak, a motel and an Eldritch cult. You play as an off-duty detective, taking leave to explore the open road, who stops into a motel to rest and refuel. Here they discovered the completely empty motel, not a soul in sight, but clearly recently vacant. Here you can explore the motel almost in its entirety, from the reception desk, each individual room, and the motels grounds. Each room has its own story, but also shares one with others, interlinking until the bitter end.

This game features item inspection, allowing the player to explore not only the rooms, but the stories carried by its contents. Not only these interactive items, but the environment as a whole tells a story of the motels former inhabitants, given them personality and alluding to their fates.

If you were hoping too see what I've made so far, you're in luck! Here's a preview:

Week 4-5 (-ish)

Hey, I'm back, back again. I've got some gameplay to show you! This is the item inspection system, which involves picking up specific items, and rotating them carefully with your mouse (or going batsh*t crazy with them like I do because it's more fun). Upon further inspection, information is given about the item, such as it's history, previous owners, and smell. Wanna see? Of course you do! Here you go:

Week 6-7 (I think)

Well well well, look who came crawling back (Hint: it's me). No huge updates this time, a lot of the work has been done outside of the project itself, like writing, and more writing. As far as I can tell, all intractable items now have a mesh and a bit of text to go alongside them. There may be more to come, but for now each room has a handful of things to get your grubby hands all over, like drugs, guns, toys, and more guns. I also changes the mountains.

Here's a look at 'em:

And here's the new mountains:
