Ride (2024)
Based on the Ryan Gosling hit "Drive", Ride transforms the intense scenes into a 2D endless runner.
Made to certain stipulations, such as no spawning of assets, playable on mobile and PC platforms, and including saved game seeds, Ride was a technical development project made to test in-engine skills, while still making an entertaining game. Using assets found online, I coated the game in a retro-synth-wave aesthetic, found an 8-bit rendition of A Real Hero from the Drives soundtrack, and some nice-to-have intro cinematic frames, coming together to give the true "Drive" feel to this project

New Kyoto (2023)
A short narrative prototype, the New Kyoto documents include a character profile, complete with Q&A and a short story, as well as a narrative codex for the world and characters of New Kyoto.
This was a fun project to undertake as it allowed the creative freedom to make a new game world, with brand new lore, but the opportunity to insert real-world events within. New Kyoto takes inspiration from many East Asian cultures and events, intertwining real history with fictional lore. I opted for a futuristic setting, as this allowed more freedom when creating a realistic narrative, as I could take inspiration from past and current events.
BREACH (2021)
Breach is my first person narrative horror experience. Using free-use assets, I have created a small bungalow environment for the player to explore, with notes, voice lines and environmental items telling a story the player can piece together.
The main focus of this project was to create a realistic environment with a lived-in feel with each room decorated with dozens of individual assets. Primarily using asset placement and a touch of more standard narrative practices, I aimed to create a playable space that told the story of its inhabitant, and eluded to events in the world.
